Taking all that she learnt from her MSc in Development studies, Jessica is passionate about what is going on around the world to fight global poverty and how it affects what we do. Jessica works with our partners to ensure that our values are operational and that we get behind projects that are going to transform communities, not just create statistics. Jessica also helped to setup the local foodbank distribution centre in partnership with the Trussel Trust as part of an answer to seeing need within her local community.

I’ve been working at Karuna since March 2020! I’m proud to be part of a small team who care about our local community and the world around us. We reach out to those who need us the most.

I am a Socialist

Born in Poland, Aga moved to the UK with her family when she was 6. After attending school and college,completing a BTec in public services, Aga had plans to make a career in the airforce, but soon realised that she wanted to pursue other opportunities. Feeling welcomed into Karuna Coffee House after stepping through the door and meeting some amazing people, Aga jumped at the chance at a permanent job, after volunteering. Bringing previous barista and customer service experience Aga is one of the welcoming faces behind the counter. Outside of work Aga is a keen outdoor enthusiast, from camping to bouldering, she is often on an adventure.
